"Shu,"  is a family name that means excellence.  Its foundings began in Manhattan during the 1970's by the family's matriarch  after attending art school in Japan and The New School in NYC.  Her line was eventually picked up by Gucci and has done collaborative work with Georg Jensen.  

 

After deciding to focus on a more personal clientele, the line forged on thriving as an independent artist catering to the discerning tastes of New York City's and Tokyo's sophisticated palate.  

 

Today, Shu NYC is a mother and son collaboration that continues the family tradition of creating elegant and timeless pieces that you can be proud to pass down from our family to yours.
